Jessy's Salon

Hello! I did my best to include the impactful parts of my career for those stalking me before scheduling your appointment, as you should. ;) 

Some career history about my 19+ years in the beauty industry. I graduated with my cosmetology license at 19 from my high school cosmetology vocational program- shout out to Mrs Mac! From an embarrassing interview (ask me about this for a funny story) to getting hired and completing an internship at Moutons salon that catapulted my core knowledge of hairdressing and my 4 years there built the foundations I needed for this career. I am forever grateful for those opportunities. 

At 23, I started my family with my first son and in the same year opened “Jessy’s Girl Salon”. A crazy 9 years of having 3 babies, expanding my salon 3x, lots of hard work and a loyal clientele Jessy’s Girl Salon won back-to-back-to-back, “Best Salon” awards by the Irving Chamber of Commerce. During this time I joined the Aquage education team and enjoyed continually learning the newest techniques while passing that knowledge on to stylists all over the country in salons, academies, and trade shows with the Aquage team. Luis Alvarez and the Aquage educators taught me skill but also effective ways to teach and learn. I hope to never stop elevating and learning. 

In 2016, I had some extreme life changes that I can only give God the glory for walking with me through them, including divorce, which resulted in closing Jessy's Girl Salon and opening a downsized, newly named, Jessys Salon. Original, right? This stage of life allowed me to be more available to my 3 boys busy schedules while still mentoring emerging hairdressers. Education has and will always be a driving force in my career.

What my salon day to day looks like now? With personalized hair design I excel in finding solutions for each guest with my keen eye for details. Sometimes it's a touch up on a great hairstyle we've been doing and sometimes it's a style overhaul. No matter how extensive our time together is I want you to leave feeling empowered and confident. I feel so blessed to have so many first-time visitors turn into lifelong hair relationships. This industry has and will continue to be a positive impact in my life, I look forward to meeting you!
